Stop 1: Konjic & Traditional Bosnian Breakfast

Konjic is one of the oldest towns in our country with archaeological traces dating back four thousand years ago. A charming small town played an important role in connecting Bosnia with Dubrovnik. The written documents date way back from 14th century but the appearance of the town like we know today started to form once the Ottomans came to scene. Most famous and the eye-catcher is definitely the “Stone Bridge” built in 17th century. Unfortunately bridge was bombarded at the end of the WWII and what remained of the original bridge were just the columns. It will take more than 50 years to have bridge fully restored. In Yugoslavia the town was hiding one of the most expensive projects ever to be done in the region and the best kept secret.

At Konjic you will:

  • Learn about history, legends and stories associated with the town
  • Walk over Stone Brige in Konjic
  • See beautiful panorama of the town that lies on Neretva river
  • Learn about Tito’s Bunker – the best kept secret in Yugoslavia – oznaciti turu
  • Hear first-hand story about the importance of the town during the war in Bosnia

Just 20 minutes from Konjic we are going to stop for Traditional Bosnian Breakfast. NOTE: Vegetarian option is available.

Konjic: The Stone Brige is one of four most important bridges in country.
Old Stone Bridge of Konjic
STOP 2: Pocitelj

From Konjic to Pocitelj we are taking the route which was described by famous “The Guardian” newspaper as one of the most beautiful in the world. Some of the world wildest and and most beautiful scenarios can be seen from windows of our fully air-conditioned transportation and before you know it we are at our second stop. Beautiful medieval and Ottoman stone-constructed fortified village Počitelj. One of key destinations in our country for sure hides numerous stories. One of them is linked with Robert Baratheon. The character from popular HBO television show  Game of Thrones , which is unfortunately not true, but we do understand how someone could make such mistake. A silo-shaped fort overlooking the village from the top of the hill is a highlight of our visit. Only the brave will walk all the way up but the reward is spectacular. Emerald green Neretva valley on top of your hand.

At Pocitelj you will:

  • Hear history, legends and stories related to town
  • Explore the town
  • Walk up the silo shaped forth (for those not fond of walking, can have a coffee break at the bottom of the town)
  • Take amazing photos of the Neretva valley
Pocitelj: Medival fortified town overlooking Neretva valley is a marble of Ottoman architecture.
Beautiful fortified town of Pocitelj
STOP 3: Blagaj

Blagaj dates way back from Roman period as fortification and trough time it grew into real gem of Herzegovina region. The most spectacular is the spring that single-handedly creates a river Buna. No wonder, the most  mystical order in Islamic religion, enchanted with the beauty of the place, ordered a construction of the Tekke. Dervishes used the Tekke to perform zikr – glorification of God. During the season, locals use a small boat to enter the cave made by the spring and we are sure you will like to do that as well.

In Blagaj you will:

  • Learn about history, legends and stories associated with the town
  • Enter the Tekke and learn about theDervish order and Islam in general (entrance included)
  • Create amazing photos of Buna river
  • Enter the Green cave with a boat (optional)
Blagaj: Place of incredible beauty and mysticism. Birthplace of Buna river from one of the biggest freshwater springs in Europe
Blagaj and Buna river
STOP 4: Mostar

Our last destinations may be one of the most charming and romantic cities in Bosnia, but for sure is the hottest. We are arriving just in time to avoid the heat but also large number of tourists that came to see this famous city. Cobblestone paved road, with many small shops, leads us to the most popular attraction in Mostar. A stone masterpiece stretching out above the beautiful emerald green Neretva river. Old Bridge area of the Old City of Mostar is part of UNESCO World Heritage List from year 2005. Food lovers will have to enjoy dishes influenced by Oriental and Mediterranean cuisine and photography enthusiasts will be able to make that perfect photo on their free time.

In Mostar you will:

  • Learn about history, legends and stories associated with the town
  • See a video about the war and destruction of the Old Bridge (ticket included)
  • Walk around Old City of Mostar
  • Enjoy free time for shopping, photography or just explore the city on their own
Mostar: One of the most romantic cities in the world. Falling in love is very easy in this city.
Mostar - love at first sight
STOP 5: Yellow Fortress

Our final stop is Yellow bastion built as cannon fortress during Ottoman period as part of city defense wall. Bastion is located just above the Soldiers Cemetery and the resting place of fist Bosnian president. Today it is a perfect view point to the Old Town and best place to see a sunset over Sarajevo valley.

At Yellow Fortress you will:

  • See panorama of the Old Town
  • Finalize the story about the war in Sarajevo
  • Take great photos

I did the Mostar/Jablanica/Buna/Pocitelj tour and had the most wonderful day exploring this beautiful country. I found the office easily and was met by Asim, who was punctual, organized and friendly.

The next day we left at 8am without delay. Our guide, Alen, may very well be the best tour guide in the world as he is open, fun, friendly, intelligent and flexible. He went above and beyond to make sure that we (one other girl and I) had an amazing day, always felt comfortable and answered all of our questions about history and culture with insight and intelligence.

Additionally, Alen met our needs by taking us to local restaurants, markets. At any point-in-time we wanted to stop for whatever reason Alen was flexible.

I would definitely go with this tour company again as it is among the best. Very high-quality tour, small groups and good price. Thank you guys for making my stay in BiH so special.

What a memorable trip! We arranged two trips with Info Bosnia Tours and were impressed by the lengths to which Asim and his team made us feel welcome. The tour guides, on both trips were fluent in English, knowledgeable and very friendly with a great sense of humour. They were generous to share their personal stories with us and confirmed to us the courage and conviction of the people of this amazing region.
We visited the Tunnel of Hope which was a lifeline to the people of Sarajevo during the war, the environs of the canton of Sarajevo, Kravica Falls, Blagaj, Pocitelj and Mostar. Asim especially arranged one of the trips so that we reach Mostar just before dusk to get an amazing view of the Stari Most.

Would strongly recommend Info Bosnia Tours to anyone visiting Bosnia Herzegovina.

We had an amazing, unparalleled experience with Info Bosnia Tour, when we visited Bosnia on a family holiday.

Our guides, Ajla and Mak, were both very friendly and knowledgeable about the local history and culture. They also gave a personal touch to the tour by sharing their experiences, and those of their families.
Asim, who manages Info Bosnia Tours, was similarly very welcoming and
ensured all our preferences were met.

In addition to discovering more about the 1992 War, we also learned about various periods of Bosnian history, from the Ottoman era to the post- Austro-Hungarian empire. We also had a day trip with Ajla, which included Mostar, Blagaj and the Sufi Dervish site. Mak showed us the history of the War, the Olympic bobsled track and the second largest largest Jewish cemetery in Europe.
Ajla and Mak went out of their way to make sure all our questions were answered, and
Ajla even spent time to show a local café popular with youth, outside of the of the tour. We were able to explore the areas surroundings Sarajevo, from many dimensions, with our guides. Hence we would strongly recommend Info Tours Bosnia, to anyone visiting the region.

𝒃𝒆𝒔𝒕 𝒕𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒊𝒏 𝒚𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔!

I cannot say enough good things about this experience!! I did a day-long trip from Sarajevo to Mostar with Kerim, with stops at Blagaj, Pocitelj, Kravice falls (bring a swimsuit for this; the water is glorious!). It felt more like traveling with a friend, who’s showing me around his country, than being on a “tour.” I travel a ton and this was by far the best thing I’ve done in a long time. And the booking process was efficient and fun with Asim: I say “awesome” a lot, and he joked that that’s his name. Overall, this is a terrific team and I recommend they most highly!
