Tour Summary

Sarajevo, the city of great monotheistic religions for centuries has been compared to Jerusalem. It is for sure one of the rare capitals in the world where you can hear adhan – a call to prayer from minaret, and church bells at same time. Throughout history, Sarajevo has suffered a lot, but never lost its special touch.

On this walking tour, you will be able to see Muslim, Catholic Christian, Orthodox Christian, and Jewish architecture just a few minutes away from each other. Learn about the assassination that triggered the First World War, and how Muslims and Jews protected each other through the different wars. Try some traditional dishes and see traditional crafts. Experience a combination of Oriental, European and Yugoslav influences, which creates uniqueness and beauty seen nowhere else but in Sarajevo. Understand how a city that suffered so much can be so pleasant.

In just over two hours feel the soul of Sarajevo!
